ByThe Courier Reporter
A violent attacker whose ex told him “kill me now and get it over with” during a brutal assault has avoided a jail term.
Daniel McGraw, 23, of Lady Nina Square, Coaltown of Balgonie, pleaded guilty on indictment to charges of assault, breaching bail and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner on the outskirts of Glenrothes.
His not guilty plea to a charge that he grabbed the steering wheel of the car as it was moving and pulled it, causing the car to collide with a kerb, was accepted by the Crown.
He further admitted a second assault on his former partner.
Sheriff James Williamson imposed a two-year community payback order, a domestic abuse programme and 225 hours of unpaid work.
