Fife’s newest councillor ‘honoured’ to take up post

Fife’s newest councillor Fay Sinclair has spoken of the “honour” of being elected.
The SNP member snatched a seat from Labour in the recent Dunfermline South by-election.
Attending her first full Fife Council meeting in Glenrothes, the 30-year-old journalist and charity volunteer, who lives in the Duloch area of Dunfermline with her husband and two sons, said she was pleased at the reception.
She was formally welcomed to the chamber by committee chairman and Fife Provost Jim Leishman.
Meanwhile, Mr Leishman also congratulated SNP Fife councillors Peter Grant and Douglas Chapman for their election as MPs.
