A historic Kirkcaldy burgh is awaiting its moment in the limelight as the final touches are put in place for its small screen debut.
Dysart Harbour is undergoing a radical transformation as it becomes the latest Fife location to feature in the hit US series Outlander.
The site has been closed since last week to allow for production crews to assemble sets, with green screens and large quantities of barrels having been delivered as the area is taken back in time to the 1700s.
All of the activity has helped to attract large crowds of curious onlookers to the harbour, with community leaders hopeful that the locality can establish itself as a tourist destination.
Two days of filming will take place at the harbour, starting from Monday.
A number of the nearby roads are subject to restrictions, while a permanent security presence remains around the set.
Earlier this month a huge group of Outlander fans descended on Culross, which portrays the fictional village of Cairnsmuir in the show.
Other filming locations include Falkland, Balgonie Castle, Aberdour Castle, Doune Castle and Stirling.
