An investigation has begun after a Fife child was left behind at a safari park following a school trip.
The child, believed to be a five-year-old boy, had been on a Pitcorthie Primary and nursery outing to Blair Drummond.
More than 300 children from the Dunfermline school had attended the trip.
However, when buses departed for the journey home one child was left behind.
A source said no one realised the boy was missing until the pupils returned to Dunfermline. To contact The Courier phone 01382 575503 or email kirkcaldy@dcthomson.co.ukHis parent was among those waiting there.
When it was discovered the boy had not got back on his bus, frantic calls were made to the police.
Officers rushed to the park and found the child.
