The second phase of work to upgrade the gas network in Kirkcaldy has begun in Ferrard Road.
SGN is replacing three-quarters of a mile of mains and services with long-lasting polyethylene pipe.
The first phase in Strathkinnes Road, Gourlay Street, Duncan Street and Dean Road is already under way and is expected to be complete by the end of July.
Phase two is likely to take three weeks.
A third phase will begin on Sunday June 21, and see Ferrard Road reduced to one-way traffic and four-way traffic lights in Oriel Road and Forth Avenue at the roundabout daily between 7am and 6pm.
Work will take place from Ferrard Road into Oriel Road towards the roundabout at Forth Avenue and include renewal of gas supply to the University of Dundee School of Nursing and Midwifery.
