Shock at lewd comments in Auchmuty High School pupil’s yearbook
ByMichael Alexander
A Fife school is under fire over sexual remarks published in a school yearbook.
The head at Auchmuty High in Glenrothes has been forced to apologise after angry parents hit out over a lewd comment included in the book by a pupil.
A father contacted The Courier to report the printed remark, which seemingly referred to a classmate’s girlfriend.
The businessman, who asked not to be named, said he was “very surprised” it had been included and claimed the in-house publication had “crossed the line”.
Head teacher Alan Pithie insisted the “ill-judged” remark was in fact an in-joke referring to a guitar.
