Woman’s body discovered in Kirkcaldy flat

Police are investigating an unexplained death in one of Kirkcaldy’s most desirable neighbourhoods.

Forensic officers were at Deas Wharf throughout Sunday following the discovery of a woman’s body at a flat at the harbour complex.

Two officers were stationed outside an end block of the popular waterfront development, while officers in full forensic clothing entered the building.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police in Fife are investigating following the death of a 45-year-old woman at an address in Deas Wharf, Kirkcaldy.

“The body was discovered today at around 4.20am.

“Enquiries are going, however the death is currently being treated as unexplained. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
