A Lochgelly man who entered an occupied house during the night and stole jewellery and other possessions has been jailed for 240 days.
Callum McKay, 21, was on five bail orders when he committed the offence.
At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, McKay, of Lumphinnans Road, Lochgelly, admitted that on May 10 at a house in Gordon Street, he stole clothing, jewellery and food.
The court heard McKay had recently been jailed for 14 months for other offences.
Sheriff Charles Macnair told him: “Having your home entered at night when you’re in is extremely distressing.”
He jailed McKay for 240 days to run consecutive to his current term.
