A man who vandalised cars parked outside Dunfermline mosque has been jailed.
David Berry, 22, of Bute Crescent, Dunfermline, admitted that on July 16 last year at Woodmill Road he wilfully or recklessly damaged three cars by scratching them with an unknown implement.
Depute fiscal Ruaraidh Ferguson told Dunfermline Sheriff Court that the cost of repair came to £1,500.
Defence agent Chris Sneddon pointed out the cars were not in the mosque car park but on the street next to where the mosque is situated.
“He accepts full responsibility for this matter,” he added.
Sheriff Charles Macnair sentenced Berry to four months’ imprisonment.
