“A credit to his community” Courier delivery boy saves stricken pensioner
ByMichael Alexander
A modest paper boy has shrugged his shoulders and said it was “just something you would do” after rescuing a stricken pensioner during his morning round.
Teenager Nathan Dunsire was delivering Couriers in East Wemyss when he heard banging coming from the home of an elderly lady.
Peering through the letterbox, he saw the pensioner lying helpless on the floor following a fall.
Unable to gain access to the property, 15-year-old Nathan rushed home to alert his mother.
The emergency services were called and, after they forced the door, the pensioner was rushed to hospital.
She has now made a full recovery.
Police have praised Nathan, describing him as “a credit to his community”.
