Plumes of black smoke have been seen in the sky across the Howe of Fife. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service told The Courier fire crews were responding but no further information was available. A Police Scotland spokesman described the incident as a “large fire in the vicinity of the railway yards”. One local who heard of the incident said: “Might be the old railway yard again as it went up when I was on nights on Thursday morning.”
