Golfer joins team at Hill of Tarvit’s Kingarrock hickory course

Golf pro Andrew Bentley has returned to Fife after more than a decade to lend his skills at a unique golf course.
The St Andrews graduate, 35, has joined the team at the National Trust for Scotland’s Kingarrock hickory golf at the Hill of Tarvit estate.
The course was created by the Sharp family who used to own the estate.
This opportunity to experience golf as it was is what attracted Andrew to the role.
He said: “I really loved the history of Kingarrock where the game is still played as it was almost 100 years ago.
“It’s important to keep this type of hands-on, authentic experience alive. “Not only is it a lot of fun, it helps visitors understand more about the Sharp family who lived here at Hill of Tarvit, their interests and way of life.”
It also has views to rival the best courses, he added.
Andrew has been golfing since he was 10 and turned pro in 2007, qualifying with the Professional Golfers’ Association in 2010.
He has coached and been a club pro in England before deciding to return to Scotland.
