Police are investigating after a quad bike was stolen from a farm near St Andrews.
The theft follows a number of similar crimes in north east Fife in recent weeks.
The quad bike, described as and black coloured Honda, was taken from a stables at Wester Balrymonth Farmsometime overnight between Sunday and Monday.
Detective Constable James Soutar said: “The person or persons responsible for this theft must have had a vehicle to travel to this location and then remove the quad undetected.
“I would appeal for anyone who saw a vehicle or vehicle acting suspiciously in the area or North East Fife during the course of this night to contact the police.
“Unfortunately North East Fife has seen a number of similar thefts over the last few weeks therefore I would appeal to owners of quad bike to ensure they are safely secured when not in use and to report any suspicious activity to the police as soon as possible”
