Human remains found in Glenrothes are NOT missing man Allan Bryant

Remains found in a Glenrothes public park are not those of missing Glenrothes man Allan Bryant Jr, his father has confirmed.
Allan Bryant Sr revealed that police have told him that bones found in Riverside Park do not belong to his 24-year-old son, who went missing in the town in November 2013.
“It’s been an emotional few days for me and my family, and we don’t know what to make it of all,” he said on Facebook.
“The last few days have been a living hell.”
Mr Bryant added that he felt police could have perhaps told him sooner, given the knowledge that his son had a false tooth and was wearing distinctive clothing when he disappeared.
Allan Jr has not been seen following a night out with friends in the town in November 2013, one of a number of missing men from the area.
Families with missing relatives in Glenrothes have been contacted after the remains were discovered by teenagers in Riverside Park on Tuesday.
Police say they are unable to confirm Mr Bryant’s claims, saying that forensic teams are continuing with the formal identification process.
