International flavour to Inverkeithing Highland Games heavyweight contest

Inverkeithing Highland Games saw a duel between Poland and Iceland in the heavy event contest.
Sebastien and Lucas Wenta were up against Thor Gylfasson and Heisi Geirmundsson during the historic event at the Ballast Bank on Saturday.
In the end, the Eastern Europeans were overall winners.
After a soggy summer, the weather stayed dry for the event. This was welcomed by the cyclists, who have been competing on sodden grass tracks.
Their feature event was the 6,400 metres Scottish Championship raced over 16 laps.
It developed into a last lap duel between Craig Hardie of Dalgety Bay and Tim Allan, Tomatin, with the former just having the extra strength to forge on in the home straight.
