Peace studies lecturer accused of driving car at man

The director of St Andrews University’s Centre for Peace Studies is to stand trial accused of driving her 4×4 at a man on a country road.
Dr Hazel Cameron, a lecturer at the university, is accused of driving her Land Rover Freelander at Thomas Struthers on Glenduckie Road West in rural north-east Fife.
It is alleged she drove dangerously and forced Mr Struthers to take evasive action and jump on to a verge to avoid a collision.
Dr Cameron, 47, of Glenduckie, near Cupar, pleaded not guilty to a charge of dangerous driving on summary complaint.
Sheriff Tom Hughes continued the case to a trial date later this month.
Dr Cameron took up her post at St Andrews in February 2011.
