Police in Dunfermline are investigating a theft from a one-year-old girl’s grave.
The incident happened between Saturday and Tuesday at the cemetery in Halbeath Road.
The father of the child, who passed away in September last year, visited the grave to find that a shrine that was set up over the weekend had been destroyed and various toys had been stolen.
Officers are urging anyone who can assist with their investigation to come forward.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around the cemetery over the past few days or who has information that can help us identify the cruel individuals who carried out this crime.
“I would also ask those with any further information relevant to our ongoing inquiries contacts police immediately.”
