The blaze at Waulkmill Farm near Crombie involved three farm buildings, machinery and straw bales. Firefighters removed fertilizer from one of the buildings. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said there was no risk to life but huge palls of black smoke could be seen for miles around. The buildings involved were described as barns, each measuring 50 square metres. The service received a call at 7.45pm and four appliances from Dunfermline and Lochgelly, as well as a water carrier from Larbert, attended.
