Roadworks timetable changed after rush hour misery
ByThe Courier Reporter
Roadworks on a busy commuter route will no longer affect rush hour traffic following claims of huge tailbacks.
Motorists reported delays of up to 20 minutes on the B921 Cluny Road, linking Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes, as Fife Council carry out carriageway repairs on the popular stretch.
The works, scheduled for completion on Sunday, started last week, with three-way traffic signals in place at the Kinglassie Road junction.
However, following concerns from the public, maintenance crews are now restricting their work to between 9.30am to 3.30pm to avoid peak traffic.
The signals are also being manually operated to minimise delays.
