Singer Mica Paris gave in to her One Temptation by helping to raise more than £200,000 for charity and Dennis the Menace also chipped in.
The soul singer and a group of celebrities joined CR Smith boss Gerard Eadie at his 14th annual charity clay pigeon shoot.
The latest shoot took the total raised over the years to £2.4 million.
Organised by Mr Eadie’s shoot charitable trust, the event at Auchterhouse Country Sports near Dundee attracted 40 teams of shooters and 350 guests.
They helped raise £100,000 each for Maggie’s Cancer Centres and JDRF, the leading Type 1 diabetes research charity.
Celebrity chefs Nick Nairn and Paul Rankin entertained with their culinary masterclass and comedian and presenter Fred MacAulay injected his own humour to the live demonstrations.
“The shoot has become an annual gathering of friends, who not only enjoy the fun of the clay pigeon competition but also some fantastic entertainment and gourmet food, while raising a staggering amount for the charities we support,” Mr Eadie said.
“The fact that so many return each year and are always prepared to join in with the fundraising is tremendously satisfying.”
Most of the running costs are covered by sponsors, while volunteers run the event.
An auction also raised funds and a money-can’t-buy experience from DC Thomson the highest bidders winning their own caricature, which is to feature in the Beano contributed an additional £19,500 to the fund’s total.
Peter Jones, chairman of the JDRF Development Group in Scotland, said: “As one of the charities to benefit, I can’t thank everyone enough for the enthusiasm and enormous generosity on the day.
“It means our share of the money raised at the Shoot will go directly to helping us find a cure for Type 1 diabetes.”
The Shoot also welcomed Alastair Kellock, Josh Strauss, Jon Welsh and Peter Horne of the Glasgow Warriors to the event.
Peter, known for his skills on the rugby field, scooped the top rookie gun prize.
