Man, 76, charged with dangerous driving in Kirkcaldy

Police in Kirkcaldy have arrested and charged a 76-year-old man with dangerous driving in Kirkcaldy.

The pensioner was traced after footage emerged on social media showing a Vauxhall Corsa travelling the wrong way on Dunnikier Way.

Cameras captured the vehicle travelling in the wrong direction westbound on the dual carriageway towards the Asda supermarket, with oncoming cars travelling eastbound having to slow down or change lanes to try to avoid a collision.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date.
