First step taken in drive to stop Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre parking mayhem

Councillors have taken the first step in an effort to tackle the parking chaos at the Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre.
They have agreed to promote a traffic regulation order which, if uncontested, will result in waiting restrictions being put in place on roads around the building.
Councillor Neil Crooks said: “Parking has been a controversial topic for this leisure centre from the offset.
“However, inappropriate parking is having a negative effect on local High Street businesses with deliveries having to be re-scheduled because lorries cannot reach their destinations.
“We cannot risk emergency escape routes being compromised by parked vehicles.”
