The property, at 222 High Street, will go up for sale this week after Fife Council took control of the home via a compulsory purchase order. The eight-year fight ended in November after an appeal against the order was refused. Fife Council confirmed that the cost in legal time pursuing the order amounted to £19,225. Located in a conservation area, the property was left derelict for several years. The C-listed building is currently being advertised as a redevelopment opportunity for potential buyers.
