Two cars have been involved in a crash during a police training exercise in Fife.
The drivers of a Nissan Micra and Mercedes 4×4 were said to have escaped unhurt after the vehicles collided at the Melville Lodges Roundabout near Ladybank at around 10.30am.
It is understood the minor shunt happened as the drivers tried to pull over to let a police car past after it turned on its blue lights as part of a training exercise.
The driver of one of the vehicles involved did not realise the other had stopped, causing the collision.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 10.30am on Friday, a police training vehicle activated its blue lights at the Melville Lodges Roundabout, Fife, as part of a training programme.
“A minor collision then occurred between a Nissan Micra and Mercedes 4×4.
“Road policing officers responded to the scene and it was quickly established there were no injuries and only minor cosmetic damage to the vehicles.”
