Woman taken to hospital after two-car smash in Glenrothes

A woman was taken to hospital following a two-car accident in Glenrothes on Wednesday evening.
The crash took place on Stenton Road near the Michael Woods Sports and Leisure Centre shortly after 5pm.
The condition of the injured woman was not known as we went to press last night.
No further details were provided by police or ambulance services, although it is understood the injured female driver had to be cut free from her car by firefighters before being taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital.
A spokesman for the fire and service confirmed two crews from Glenrothes had been called to assist emergency services.
