Cyclist critical but stable after accident on A92 at Freuchie
ByJonathan Watson
A cyclist remains in a “critical but stable” condition following a road accident at Freuchie during the early hours of Saturday.
The man remains in Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital after being struck by a silver Vauxhall Corsa on the A92.
The incident, the fourth accident in as many days on the stretch, prompted police to close the road between New Inn and Ladybank throughout Saturday morning as they investigated the scene.
Little else is known about the collision, although police have appealed for a lorry driver seen in the area at the time to make contact.
While the driver is not believed to be involved in the incident, it is thought that they might hold vital information that could help police with their inquiries.
The female driver of the car escaped without injury.
Anybody with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
