Jail threat for drink-driver who parked on roundabout

A Fife woman has been warned she could face jail after admitting driving while more than six times the limit.
Nicola Lowe, 40, formerly of Whitehall Avenue, Cardenden, and currently in homeless accommodation in Dunfermline, admitted that on November 21 on Dunfermline Road, Crossgates, she drove with 142 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 microgrammes.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said Lowe’s husband had initially stopped her from driving but she took his car.
Police later found her “parked on a roundabout”.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and banned Lowe from driving until sentencing on December 23.
