A man was treated in intensive care after a fight outside the Alpha Bar in Kirkcaldy on Saturday night.
Police were called to Hayfield Road in Kirkcaldy around 10.55 on Saturday night following reports of a disturbance involving a large group of people outside the pub.
It is understood the group had been in the pub and an incident had spilled outside.
When officers arrived they found a 51-year-old man unconscious in the road. It appeared he may have been punched and fallen over and hit his head.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Victoria Hospital where he was admitted to intensive care.
A Police Scotland spokesman said the man was improving, no longer in intensive care and his condition was “no cause for concern”.
Asked if anyone had been charged in connection with the incident, the Police Scotland spokesman said no information was available.
