Fife youth group ‘desperately needs new blood’ to survive

An 83-year-old institution could disappear unless it can attract “new blood”.
Boys and Girls Clubs Fife, which started life in November 1932, is in danger of folding due to a lack of committee members and a lack of interest from the youth of today.
Local secretary Dave Redpath said: “We desperately need to get new blood in.
“If we don’t get new people to take things over then sadly I can’t see the organisation surviving.”
The charity, which has also been known as Clubs for Young People Fife in recent years, has around a dozen member clubs in Fife, including Glenrothes Strollers FC, Methil and District Sea Cadets and Thornton Hibs 19s.
