The accident happened at approximately 5pm and the northbound carriageway was closed to traffic for a short time. The van towing the trailer belonged to Dundee company Gowrie Contracts. A spokeswoman said on Wednesday: “We have not got any comment to make at this time. We are still investigating to see what happened.” The trailer was quickly recovered and the route was reopened by 5.15pm. The bridge remained closed to high sided vehicles due to strong winds.
