People from across the UK have signed up to join TV psychic Derek Acorah in a Fife ghost hunt on Saturday.
The controversial medium will travel to Troy Wood, between St Andrews and Anstruther, to meet the Arbroath-based Afterdark Paranormal team at Scotland’s Secret Bunker.
Acorah will help lead the investigation and try to contact any spirits in the bunker.
John Spratt, director of Afterdark Paranormal Ltd, said: “The response for ticket sales has been amazing.
“We had a good idea this would be the case but have been surprised at the amount of interest and ticket sales.
“The demand for tickets has come from all over Scotland and even from England.
“We’ve sold tickets to people in Manchester, Newcastle, Inverness, Arbroath, Brechin, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, to name a few.
“I have been keeping in touch with Derek Acorah by email and he is over the moon with the response and is excited about coming to work with the Afterdark team in Scotland.”
The Secret Bunker lies 100ft underground and was built to help safeguard Scotland during the Cold War.
The complex was built in 1951 as a secret seat of Government should Britain ever come under nuclear attack.
Mr Spratt said: “Having investigated this location before, Afterdark and the team are sure that those attending will be in for a great night.
“During the last investigation a small group said they had stopped to speak to a man in a white coat.
“After further investigation with the staff we were assured there was no one working that night that would be wearing a white coat. In fact, no one working there wears white coats at all.
“People should be aware of banging and tapping, orbs and an array of paranormal activity.
“During the night we will attempt to contact spirits using ouija boards, writing planchettes, calling out and various other experiments.”
A few tickets, priced £35, are still available for the event and the evening will be recorded by the Afterdark team.
Mr Spratt said it will be a busy year for the investigators, with at least one event each month, some of which are already sold out.
They return to Fife on September 26, when they will be joined by Karl Beattie and Stuart Torrevil from Living TV’s Most Haunted at Abbot House in Dunfermline.
Mr Spratt added: “This is a very active location and along with Karl and Stuart it should be a fantastic night.”
