Catriona Shearer has helped celebrate 10 years of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland’s stroke nurse service.
The popular newsreader was in Methil to open a pop-up charity shop on Wellesley Road alongside nurses.
Staff are holding 10 fundraising and awareness events leading up to their December anniversary.
The shop, which will be open every day over lunchtime until Saturday, is the third event in the 10 for 10 challenge, which aims to raise funds and awareness of Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland’s services.
Lead stroke nurse for Fife Jane Chalmers said: “By holding these special events we’ve been able to meet people from different communities and spread the word about the range of services that CHSS offers.”
The principal aim of the service, which is jointly funded by CHSS and NHS Fife, is to offers patients a smooth transition from hospital back into the community. The service has three stroke nurses, based at Cameron Hospital in Leven and Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline.
