Stephen Coxen faced the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday. The 21-year-old is charged with carrying out a sex attack at a property in Fife on September 14 2013. The accusation includes claims Coxen removed the woman’s clothes, seized her by the hair and also shook her violently. Prosecutors allege he raped her while she was “intoxicated and unable to provide consent”. Coxen faces a separate charge of stealing a mobile phone from the woman. Maurice Smyth, defending, entered not guilty pleas on his behalf. Judge Lady Rae set a trial due to start later this month. The case is expected to last around five days.UPDATE: Charges found not proven
