Man in court to face 1998 fire murder charge

A man has appeared in court charged with murder over a fire that killed the head of a notorious family in 1998.

Gordon Graham, 43, died in the flat in Fraserburgh on May 3 1998.

Almost 18 years on, police arrested a suspect who appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday.

Barry Henderson, 41, of Fraserburgh, appeared in private on petition facing charges of murder and attempted murder.

He made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination.

Henderson was released on bail ahead of further court dates being set.
