Two Fife millionaires may have enjoyed the weekend’s fireworks displays still unaware of their explosive fortunes.
The unsuspecting winners scooped £1 million each in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Raffle just days apart but have yet to claim their prizes.
Tickets bought in the kingdom for the July 23 and July 26 draws hit the jackpot along with one purchased in East Dunbartonshire.
And unless the lucky punters get in touch with the National Lottery in the next few weeks, their prizes will go to National Lottery good causes.
Players from Fife are again being urged to check their tickets to see if their Bonfire Night could go with a bang. Previous appeals for the winners to come forward have been unsuccessful.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “There are three lucky winners in Scotland walking around not knowing they are millionaires.
“We are hoping that this Bonfire Night some of the fireworks will be going off in celebration of Scotland’s newest millionaires.
“We urge every player to check their bags, coat pockets, even down the back of the sofa and in their cupboards the winning tickets could be tucked away in any of these places.
“The clock is now ticking for these lucky players and we want to pay them out as soon as possible so they can start enjoying their win.”
Each EuroMillions ticket automatically includes a UK Millionaire Raffle number for a twice-weekly prize of £1 million.
The July 26 raffle was a special draw when there were 100 winning tickets. The Fife winner’s number that night was CZZ474287 and the prize must be claimed by January 22.
For the July 23 draw, the lucky Fife number was BZP849967 and the claim deadline is January 19. Anyone who believes they have one of the winning tickets should call the National Lottery on 0845 910 0000.
