Man serious in hospital after being found in Kirkcaldy street

Police are trying to find out why a man was found injured on the ground in Kirkcaldy on Friday night.
The man was taken to the town’s Victoria Hospital but was later transferred to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. His condition was described as being serious.
He was found in Balsusney Road at around 8.45pm.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Dursley said: “He is described as being a man in his fifties, 5ft 10in, with short grey hair and of medium build, wearing light blue jeans, a red checked shirt with a blue jacket and black shoes.
“We are aware that a second man, who is described as also being in his fifties, 5ft 10in, unshaven and wearing a brown jumper and jeans, was also in the street around this time and I would appeal for him to contact us.”
