A Kirkcaldy woman who embezzled £8,000 while managing a Glenrothes petrol station has been ordered to do 240 hours of unpaid work.
Carolyn Suttie, 50, of Greenloanings, stole the money while she worked as a site supervisor at a Shell station on the town’s Leslie Road between December 1 2010 and January 31 2011.
Suttie initially pleaded not guilty and claimed the money had been stolen by a different site supervisor from a second Glenrothes store.
After a trial, Sheriff James Williamson, at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court, said it was “clear as day” Suttie was guilty and also ordered her to pay £8,000 compensation.
