Progress made on finding new jobs for former Tullis Russell staff
ByThe Courier Reporter
More than 80% of staff made redundant following the collapse of Tullis Russell have found new jobs.
A total of 404 of the 477 staff have found new work since the closure of the Markinch papermaker nine months ago, with Kettle Produce, in Balmalcolm, having taken on 11 former employees.
The Fife Task Force, a combined Scottish Government and Fife Council initiative, was established to help those left without a job get back in to work after the firm went in to administration.
