Big-name bands and motorbikes will join forces in Fife on Saturday for the biggest PKD Festival to date.
The event has moved to the Dalgety Bay Sports and Leisure Centre which is five times bigger than last year’s St David’s Business Park venue.
Corporate boxes have already sold out with tickets selling fast for the hugely-anticipated event.
Bruce Foxton’s From the Jam, Big Country, Animals and Friends and XSM (Ex-Simple Minds) will headline.
The line-up also includes Kirsten Adamson, Blue Delta, Emerald Sunday, Amber Road, Steeler, Freebird and many more.
Gates open at 9am with the first band on stage at 10am. Under 16s get in free with a paying adult.
The PKD Festival will also feature a motorbike show which is the largest of its type on the east coast.
The show brings together major manufacturers and motorbike clubs from all over the UK.
There will also be a fun fair, a kids zone and a market with proceeds raised going to Kingdom Kids.
Organiser Mark Bennett said it is a family friendly festival which has something for people of all ages.
He said: “We’ve secured a fantastic line-up this year. Everybody is raring to go.
“Ticket sales have been excellent and the sports and leisure centre means we can accommodate five times as many people as last year.
“People will be coming from across the UK and it’s going to make for a great atmosphere.”
The PKD Festival started out with a disused factory with 500 people before 2,500 fans turned out last year.
They spent the day in the rain watching Big Country headline and the Fife rockers are back this year after being so impressed with the festival.
Guitarist Bruce Watson that day also delivered the famous quote: “Forget Memphis Dalgety Bay is the new home of music!”
Mr Bennett said the festival proceeds will do so much for children in Fife and he praised the performers for helping raise money for such a good cause.
He said: “It’s a festival which benefits the local community and we can’t wait for 10am on Saturday.”
Tickets remain on sale from the site box office from today at 9am.
