A cyclist who was involved in a road accident at Freuchie during the early hours of Saturday has died in hospital.
David Christie (49) passed away at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy on Thursday afternoon.
His family have paid tribute to the Ladybank man.
They said: “David was a much loved son and father. He will be hugely missed by family and friends.
“We want to thank the staff in the Intensive Care Unit for being so kind and caring while looking after him. The family is finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with this tragic loss.”
Mr Christie had been in Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital after being involved in a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa on the A92.
The incident, the fourth accident in as many days on the stretch, prompted police to close the road between New Inn and Ladybank throughout last Saturday morning as they investigated the scene.
The female driver of the car escaped without injury
