Movie legend Samuel L Jackson, who starred as a hitman in Pulp Fiction, has told how he nearly took out a spectator while playing golf at St Andrews.

The actor revealed how he “nearly killed” the fan in a star-studded bash at Scotland’s top course when he accidentally smacked his ball straight into the crowd.

He said he was playing the Old Course when a simple chip on the 18th hole went wrong and hit a woman in the crowd, although fortunately she wasn’t hurt.
