Two people have been arrested and charged after police in North East Fife recovered a cannabis cultivation in Cupar.
As part of an ongoing initiative to tackle drug crime in the region, officers carried out a search of an address in Kinloss Crescent on Wednesday where several plants and cultivation equipment was seized.
The cannabis has an estimated street value of around £12,500.
A 39-year-old woman and 17-year-old man will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal for offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Sergeant Gary Combe, from Cupar Police Station, said: “This is another example of Police Scotland’s commitment to tackling drug crime.
“Thanks to information from the local community, substantial quantities of cannabis have been seized before it could make its way onto the streets of our local communities.
“I want to reassurance the public that we will act positively on all information relating this type of criminality and bring offenders to justice.”
