A driver had to be cut from a vehicle after a rush-hour collision between a car and a lorry in Kirkcaldy on Thursday evening.
The incident, which involved a Ford Mondeo and an HGV, happened around 5.20pm on Randolph Road, near the roundabout adjoining Standing Stane Road.
The road was closed for more than two hours as police, ambulance and three fire crews attended the scene. Neither vehicle could be driven due to the extent of the damage.
Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car to free the driver.
A police spokesperson said the driver suffered injuries that were not thought to be life threatening.
