Man trapped in car after accident on Standing Stane Road

A man has been taken to Kirkcaldy’s Victoria Hospital after a road accident in central Fife.
Emergency services were called to the A915 Standing Stane Road between Kirkcaldy and Leven following reports that a gold Vauxhall Astra had left the road.
The man was trapped in his vehicle and had to be cut free by firefighters before being taken away by a waiting ambulance.
Police said the man’s injuries were not believed to be life threatening,
The incident took place between Kirkcaldy and Wellsgreen Golf Club, forcing the closure of the road for around an hour as emergency services made the scene safe.
Diversions were put in place via the Wemyss villages and bus services were subject to delays.
