Touching tributes have been paid to a Fife grandmother who has died following a car crash earlier this week.
Audrey Thom was the passenger in one of two cars involved in the horrific collision on the A914 near Leuchars on Tuesday night.
The 58-year-old was rushed to Ninewells Hospital but she could not recover from the serious injuries she sustained.
In a statement released through police, the Balmullo woman’s family said: “Audrey was a much loved wife, mother to three daughters and very recent granny.
“She will be sadly missed.”
The accident happened on the A914 between Dairsie Roundabout and Balmullo.
The drivers of the both vehicles sustained minor injuries and police said inquiries are continuing.
