Punters may have lost on the horses but they were lucky with the weather at Balcormo Races.
The sun shone on the annual Fife point-to-point gathering at Balcormo Mains, near Lundin Links.
Race-goers were pleased to see local rider Jamie Alexander, of Kinneston, Leslie, finish first in one of the six races.
The event, one of the last in the point-to-point season, also saw the return of pony racing for junior competitors.
Spokeswoman Fiona Drysdale said: “We were delighted with the turnout and the weather was very nice to us.
“Everything went well, we’d put a lot of water on the track beforehand to make race conditions as good as we could.
“People seemed to enjoy themselves and were pleased to see a local winner.
“The pony races were very popular and we were pleased there were a lot of new children, all of them from Fife.”
Leading rider of the day was Nick Orpwood.
