Three people in hospital after two-car collision in Fife

Three people have been taken to hospital after a two-car collision in the East Neuk of Fife.
A Green Suzuki Ignis and a red Citroen Picasso were involved in the accident on the B942 near Abercrombie at around 4.50pm on Monday.
The 92-year-old driver of the Suzuki suffered serious injuries and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where she remains in a serious condition.
The 67-year-old driver of the Citroen and his 85-year-old passenger were taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where their condition is described as stable.
The road was reopened at around 8pm and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant James Henry of Fife Road Policing said; “The occupants of both vehicles sustained significant injuries and we are currently working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
“We are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has any information which can help with our enquiries to please get in touch.”
