Teenagers charged after late-night knife attack in Kennoway

Two youths aged 16 and 17 have been charged in connection with a knife attack in Kennoway.

An 18-year-old man was seriously injured in Halfields Court shortly after 11pm on Saturday.

Detective Sergeant James McGuinness said: “Shortly after 11pm on Saturday, Police Scotland responded to numerous calls from members of the public regarding a disturbance in the Halfields Court area of Kennoway.

“It was discovered at that time that an 18-year-old male had suffered serious injuries as a result of having been struck by a knife.

“Although not life-threatening, the victim is still within hospital receiving treatment.

“Following an investigation, two individuals have been charged in connection with this incident.”

Police are asking any witness to contact them on 101.
