Six-year-old boy in serious condition after being knocked down by a van in Aberdour

A young boy is in a serious condition in hospital following a road collision in Aberdour on Tuesday night.
The six-year-old remains in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the incident on Main Street at around 6pm, which saw the route closed for four hours.
The youngster, who was walking in the area, collided with a blue Mercedes Sprinter van, the driver of which was uninjured.
Sergeant Jim Henry, from the Police Scotland road policing unit, said: “A young boy has sustained serious injuries and we’re working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this collision.
“We’ve already spoken to a number of witnesses but are urging anyone who has not yet come forward to get in touch.”
