It’s all systems go for Oakley and Comrie as the area’s five-year community action plan was launched over the weekend.
The Coalfields Regeneration Trust backed it with £30,000 of seedcorn funding.
Trust vice-chairman Nicky Wilson said residents deserved every praise for the way they have worked together to decide their priorities and for choosing the initiatives they believe will most improve the area.
Almost 20 organisations and groups are included in the plan after winning backing from the Coalfields Community Futures Group for activities that range from improving leisure facilities to a summer playscheme.
Futures group chairman John Bonnar added that a lot of the projects in the plan were already up and running.
